The Kingsport Public Library is looking for volunteers to help keep our library welcoming and organized. Volunteers assist with tasks such as shelving books, straightening shelves, cleaning, and pulling holds for patrons. Your time and support help us provide excellent service to our community!
Volunteers must complete and clear a free background check prior to volunteering. All adult volunteers must sign a volunteer waiver and complete a form authorizing a background check. If this paperwork is not completed within 3 days of signing up for a shift, we will reopen the shift so those seeking hours can have those opportunities. You can pick up these forms at the library or email laineking@kingsporttn.gov to receive them digitally.
We cannot accept teen volunteers at this time.
