Who We Are

YWCA Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. We advance our mission through programs supporting the economic empowerment of women and girls, women's and girls' health and safety, and racial justice and civil rights. Our sliding scale childcare, teen pregnancy and parenting education program, free afterschool STEM program, women's health and safety center, victim advocacy and many other programs are part of advancing these goals.

What We Do

Established in 1943, YWCA NETN and SWVA has a long history or empowering women throughout the regions. Historically, the YWCA has tackled the toughest community issues: affordable childcare, racial justice, teen pregnancy, technology education, youth development and women's health and safety.
