Are you passionate about empowering girls and fostering leadership skills? We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help us make a difference in local Girl Scout troops!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with troop meetings and activities
  • Help plan and organize events and outings
  • Support girls in earning badges and completing projects
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment
  • Communicate with parents and guardians

Qualifications:

  • Passion for working with children and youth
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience with Girl Scouts or similar organizations is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to commit to regular meetings (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly)

Please consider one of the following volunteer roles:

  • Troop Administrator - Manage the administrative tasks for the troop (such as registration, participation records, and activity approvals), and facilitate communication between parents, council staff, and the other parents in the troop.
  • Girl Program Mentor - Facilitate girl-led planning and run program activities for one or more grade levels. Plan meetings using our easy-to-use Volunteer Toolkit and organize outings and activities for the girls.
  • Troop Outdoor Coordinator - Ensure that outdoor activities are a part of the program. May serve in a lead role when the troop goes camping or does outdoor activities.
  • Troop Treasurer - Set up and maintain troop banking records. Provide regular updates to the parents in the troop regarding the troop finances and submit required financial paperwork each year.
  • Troop Product Manager - Organize and manage the troop product sales, including receiving and distributing materials, products, payments and incentives.
  • Episodic Volunteer - Assist as needed, for as little or as much time as you want. Support troop meetings, share your knowledge for a skill workshop, sew badges on uniforms, sort product – whatever your skill, we can use you!
